The Gardens at Marqueyssac, Vézac, France
The town of Vézac in the Dordogne region of France is home to one of the world’s most magnificent landscapes, the famed Gardens of Marqueyssac. These stunningly sculptural landscapes wrap around the Château de Marqueyssac – which was built during the 17th century. The bubbly, rounded forms of the garden are carefully manicured by active attendants, maintaining a design that was first developed over 300 years ago.
Pulpit Rock, Preikestolen, Norway
Pulpit Rock is one of the most visited natural tourist attractions in Norway. It is a steep and massive cliff 604 metres above Lysefjorden, opposite the Kjerag plateau, in Forsand, Ryfylke, Norway. The top of the cliff is approximately 25 by 25 metres and almost flat. It was visited by 150,000 – 200,000 people every year. The visitors took the 3.8 km hike to Preikestolen.

Glowworms or Arachnocampa luminosa are tiny, bioluminescent creatures that produce a blue-green light and are found exclusively in New Zealand.
Dunnottar Castle
Scotland has some magnificently located castles. Think no further than Stirling Castle or Edinburgh Castle, both built on top of rocks that allow them to dominate the landscape for miles around. But if we had to pick just one to trust with our lives in a time of great danger then it would without any doubt be Dunnottar Castle. No other Scottish castle comes close in terms of a sense of sheer brooding impregnability. This is a castle which looks across to the nearby coastal cliffs and whose presence, even today, conveys a very simply message: "Don't mess with me."
Split Pinnacle – Hunan China

You may have already been tempted to visit Hunan for its other natural wonders, but this pinnacle may be the highlight of the province.
